What we need from you, and how long it takes.

We aim to have you answering calls inside three days, with very little of your time in it. You keep your number and your telco.

WHAT YOU NEED

01Cliniko, with online bookings switched on

For every practitioner and every appointment type you want bookable. This is the one that actually matters: with the toggle off, the availability lookup comes back empty and nothing can be booked. We check it before go-live and tell you which toggle to flip if it is off.

02A Cliniko API key

Generated by you, pasted once, stored encrypted. Revoke it whenever you like and FullDiary stops being able to see anything.

03Your appointment types

Initial, standard, follow-up, whatever you actually run. We map what the agent hears to what Cliniko books, on the call.

04An escalation number, per shift

Where an urgent call gets transferred during the day, and where it goes at night. If the honest night answer is nobody, we set it to nobody, and the agent tells urgent callers to hang up and dial 000 (111 in New Zealand). You sign off on that wording before it goes anywhere near a patient.

05Two minutes on your own handset

To dial a call-divert code. It is your line and your telco; we just tell you the code and stay on the phone while you do it.

HOW IT GOES

  • 1
Sign upTwo minutes. Card details, clinic name, nothing else.
  • 2
A fifteen-minute callWe map your appointment types, set your hours, pick the receptionist’s name and voice, and agree your escalation numbers.
  • 3
Dial the divert togetherOne code on your own handset while we are on the phone with you. Thirty seconds of ringing before it diverts, by default.
  • 4
Three test calls, you listeningYou ring your own clinic and book yourself in. Nothing goes live until you have heard it work.
  • 5
Go liveThat is it. You are answering after hours from that moment.
  • 6
Day two, then week oneWe check the log with you on day two, and read a week of transcripts together at the end of the first week.

WHAT YOU DO NOT NEED

Things people expect and we do not want

  • A new phone number. You keep yours. Patients keep dialling what is on your Google listing.
  • To change telco. Call divert is a standard feature on the major in Australia and New Zealand.
  • New hardware. There is none.
  • To move off your PMS. FullDiary writes into the Cliniko you already run. It is not a replacement for anything.
